Ernest Takumi Tanaka, 83, of Kapaau, Hawaii, a retired state Airports Division employee and an Army veteran, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Kukuihaele, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Annie S., son Laughlin, daughters Michele Oshita and Noreen Hagio, brother Frederick, sister Phyllis Nakamura, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 1 p.m. Saturday at Kohala Hongwanji Mission. Services: 2 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
