78Akio Sakai, 97, of Waipahu, formerly of Ewa, a retired Oahu Sugar Co. irrigator, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Wahiawa, Kauai. He is survived by sons William and Charles, daughter Grace Kamihara, brother Susumu Yoshino, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Private services.
