He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Theresa "Gigi"; son Gene; daughter Vena Johnston; hanai daughter Tanya Kua; mother Rosita Padayao; brother Lionel; hanai brothers Louie and Adrian Patayon; sisters Lorraine Dagli, Maline Corum and Yolanda Ito; hanai sisters Candy Souza and Susanna Calica; and three grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hawaii Preparatory Academy chapel. Services: 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Waimea County Cemetery. Casual attire.
