Joseph Gary "Joe Gary" Nakao, 67, of Kailua-Kona, a retired Hawaii County supervisor plumbing inspector and Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He is survived by wife Lena, sons Curtis and Craig, daughter Cristine, sister Patty Steel and a grandchild. Services pending.
