RICHARD HERBERT KEPPELER
of Portland, Oregon died on September 20 at the age of 85. Originally from 'Ewa, Hawai'i, Richard served in the United States Marine Corps, was a graduate of Stanford University, and retired as administrator of the Honolulu offices of Del Monte Corporation.
Richard is survived by Gail Keppeler, his wife of 61 years; children Paul Keppeler and wife Maggie of Beaverton, Oregon; Lisa Keppeler of Coopersburg, Pennsyl-vania; Heidi Schroeder and husband Fred of Browns Valley, California; and grandchildren Vaughn and Emma Rennie of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania.
Richard loved music and the outdoors, and was known for his wit and playful spirit. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
