78Virgil Lewis Gettman, 89, of Honolulu, an Otis Elevator Co. retiree, died at home. He was born in Indiana. He is survived by stepsons Levi M. Jr. and Albert J.K. III, stepdaughters Robertha P. Garcia and Vivian A. Purdy, brother Frederick, sisters Martha Hoban and Ethel Irwin, caregiver Jessie Conceicao-Tabilang, 18 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. No services.
