Janice May Ahana Shiets, 73, of Kaneohe, died November 3, 2010 at Aloha Nursing and Rehab Centre. She was born in Lihue, Kauai, a 1955 graduate from Kamehameha Schools & was a retired August Ahrens Elementary teacher.
She was pre-deceased by husband James Shiets, son Garrett Shiets, parents Ah Sau and Mary Ahana and her sister Joyce (Richard) Watanabe. She is survived by daughter Laurie (Richard) Apiki; sisters, Carol (Edwin) Kondo and Eli Kikuchi; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation 10:00 am Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel; service 11:00 am; burial 2:00 pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Casual/aloha attire. Arrangements made by Borthwick Mortuary.
