Daniel Kalani Cortez, 47, of Kapolei, formerly of Waimanalo, a Coast Guard veteran, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in San Diego. He is survived by wife Jessica K., daughter Danica K., parents Audrey and Albert Wagner, father Francisco R. Cortez, and brothers Scott and Curt Wagner. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Makakilo Ward, 92-900 Makakilo Drive. Services to follow. Committal services: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual or aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
