Sarah Sherrick Gronna, 54, of Honolulu, a state Department of Education test development section educator, died. She was born in Pasadena, Calif. She is survived by husband Richard D., daughters Judith S. and Jessica M., parents Dr. Robert M. Failing and Letty Lauffer, brother Robert Failing and sisters Lee Scheuermann and Margaret Esposito. Services: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Clement's Episcopal Church. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center (for pancreatic cancer research), DUMC, Box 3828, Durham, NC 27710. Casual attire.
