Winona Maile Marumoto, 79, of Kailua, owner of Coconut Grove Taxi, a former Pohai Nani nurse's aide and former Hawaiian Foods Unlimited employee, died in Castle Medical Center. She was born in Wailuku. She is survived by sons Donald, Fred "Snooky," Nelson "Shigeo," Alan "Kimbo" and Brian; daughter Rachelle; brothers Albert "Butchie" Kalakau, Frank Kaleimamahu III and Wendell Kaleimamahu; sisters Naomi Frank, Leona Jan and Evangeline Goldschmitz; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Gathering: 9 a.m. Thursday at Kailua Beach Park Pavilion. Scattering of ashes to follow. Casual or beach attire. No flowers.
