Rogelio Emilio Mata, 68, of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu police officer and U.S. Navy veteran, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by caregiver Cindylou Smith, brother Ronaldo Mata and sisters Alma Hougland, Gloria Gier and Marvela Satake. Committal services: 2 p.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
