Suemi Okubo, 81, of Lihue, a retired Grove Farm supervisor and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by wife Annie F.; son Eric I.; daughters Darrelyn H. Tanji and Joyce M. Johns; sisters Akiko Masumura, Yaeko Muramoto and Yasuko Urata; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Lihue Christian Church. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers. In lieu of monetary offerings, donations suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
