Pablo Valenzuela Chavez, 80, of Keaau, Hawaii, a Nakamura Nursery retiree, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Catanduanes, Bicol, Philippines. He is survived by wife Saturnina; sons Chris, Dante, Rudy, Efren and Tony; daughters Mercy Manaog, Yolly Macadangdang and Rowena Visaya; sisters Rosa De Mesa, Lourdes Chavez and Isabel Tejada; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Sunday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
