EARL MITSUO USHIJIMA
73, of Honolulu died November 1, 2011 in Honolulu. He was born August 15, 1938 in Hilo, Hawaii. Earl was a personnel administrator at Global Associates and at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sakae and Satsuki Ushijima and brother, Charles. Earl is survived by wife, Jane; son, Colin; daughter, Gail (Mark) Shirakata; two grandchildren, Jake and Jada Shirakata; brothers, Ronald (Agnes) and Gerald (Linda); sister, Eleanor Hirano & sister-in-law, Rachel, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 16) at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary in Honolulu, Memorial service: 6 p.m. Committal service: 11:30 a.m. on Friday (Nov. 18) at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl).
