Renato “Richard” Costales, 72, of Gilroy, Calif., formerly of Waipahu, an Air Force veteran, died in Gilroy. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Cheryl; daughters Ginna Raahauge and Gillienne and Courtney Costales; brothers Genaro and Joseph Costales, and Tommy Thompson; sisters Francis Viloria, Betty Cambia, Josephine Bautista, Bonnie Rivera, Kathy and Dorothy Thompson and Alexis Stern; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, 94-1260 Lumikula St., Waipahu. Mass: 9:15 a.m. Burial: 11 a.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire.
