Shigeru Matsunaga, 90, of Kailua-Kona, a retired state Department of Education schoolteacher and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife June, sons Arlon and James, daughters Ruth DeMattos and Joan Lichty, sisters Edna Rosa and May Matsunaga, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
