Kimie Akiyama, 91, of Hilo, a retired florist, died in Hilo. She was born in Mountain View, Hawaii. She is survived by son Gerald; daughter Irene Yamamoto; brothers Roy, Tommy, Iwao and Masato Shimizu; sisters Edith Booth and Ethel Chang; caregiver Gloria Inocencio; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
