VICTOR COLE
VICTOR COLE November 22, 2011 Victor Cole, 87, of Manlius and Honolulu, passed away on Tuesday. Born in New York City, he graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, where he was the President of the senior class, and the College of Engineering of New York University, where he was the President of two honor societies. He worked for Carrier Corporation for 38 years occupying a number of positions including Vice President in charge of Asia and the Pacific Region. His interests included sailing, history, woodworking, the outdoors, astronomy, and American, Asian, and nautical art and antiques. He was active in numerous organizations, including the Oklahoma City Boat Club, the Willow Bank Yacht Club, the Onondaga Historical Society, the Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University, the Everson Museum, the Gem and Mineral Club of Syracuse, the Early American Industries Association, the Institute for Astronomy of the University of Hawaii, the Waikiki Aquarium, the Society of Asian Art of Hawaii, and the Honolulu Academy of Arts. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Marie Cole, in 2010. Survivors: A son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lois Cole of Stonington, CT; a sister, Caryl Blackfield of Foster City, CA.
