Age 85, of Waipahu, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2012 at Kuakini Medical Center. A homemaker, she was born on March 5, 1927 in Akita, Japan and moved to Hawaii in 1969. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Sarmiento Ramos, of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, P.I.; she is survived by her daughter Irlene (Henry) Torres; brother Isao (Eiko) Sugata, sister Keiko Sugata of Japan; and family dog Macy.
Visitation from 9:00am on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; funeral service 10:00am. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. No flowers. Casual/aloha attire.
