79Liolita "Violet" Monces-Rita, 72, of Hanapepe, Kauai, a Garden Isle Security guard, died in the Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Lihue. She is survived by husband Patrick W. Rita Sr.; sons Dal Olivas and Mark and Jason Carrillo; daughters Debra Poe, Coreena Like, Doreena Olivas-Brun, Lori Olivas, April Christian, Esther Strom, Ruth Taboniar and Violet Carrillo; brother Crispin Aguano; sisters Trinidad Yaris-Inez, Betsy Ruff and Beatrice Jackson; 27 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Aug. 18 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
