Charles Patrick Smith, 87, of Waipahu, an ROTC instructor at Kamehameha Schools and an Army veteran, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Redding, Pa. He is survived by wife Sylvia L., son Eric C. Smith, sister Betty J. Weaver and a grandchild. Inurnment: 11:30 a.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire.
