Samson Bohol "Sam" Wana, 68, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii County Police Department sergeant, a Securitas airport security manager at Hilo Airport, and a Navy veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Pamela "Dee Dee"; sons Samson Jr., Walter L., Devin and Dana; daughter Glenn-Dee Kuwaye; stepsons Kelden and Shane Ogawa; hanai sons Walter Ah Mow and Aaron Arbles; hanai daughter Kanoe Keanaaina; brothers Engracio Bohol Jr. and Douglas Bohol; sisters Lillian Chuk and Serefina Jones; 19 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a hanai great-grandchild. Visitation: 6 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
