80Arlyn LaMoyne "A.L." Garside, 80, of Laie, a retired fine-arts professor at Brigham Young University-Hawaii, died in Kailua. He was born in Riverton, Utah. He is survived by sons Bradford and Scott, daughter Kawehi Stant, brother Don, sister RuthAnn Metcalf and nine grandchildren. Visitation: 1 p.m. Thursday at 55-439 Naniloa Loop, Laie. Graveside services: 9 a.m. Friday at Laie Cemetery.
