Roland Yoshitaka Shinde, 80, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. Army Reserves master sergeant and a Korean War veteran, died in Straub Clinic & Hospital. He was born in Paauhau, Hawaii. He is survived by sisters Yoshie Hashimoto, Miyoko Shinde and Satsuki Naito. Private inurnment.
