Sam Louis Barth, 88, of Kaneohe, a retired Army colonel, died at home. He was born in Vincennes, Ind. He is survived by wife Ellen; son Frank; daughters Meg Barth Gammon, Terry Barth Gustafson and Betsy Barth Eldridge; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Committal services: 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Visitation: 4 p.m. at Windward United Church of Christ. Celebration of life: 5 p.m. No flowers. Donations suggested to Windward United Church of Christ or USO.
