FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

MYRTLE CHING YEE
MYRTLE CHING YEE Age 95, of Honolulu, HI, suddenly passed away at home on September 20, 2012. Born October 2, 1916 in Anahola, Kauai, she was the seventh of eleven children born to Ching Hook and Kam Sing. She moved to Honolulu in 1921 and married James K.J. Yee in 1940 and together raised four children. She retired from the Moana Surfrider in 1981 and enjoyed the rest of her years spending time with family and friends. Some of her favorite pastimes were playing mahjong, watching University of Hawaii sports on TV, and traveling. A loving and nurturing mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son Evan Yee, daughter Marsha (Tevet) Bruhn, daughter Janice (Brad) Edgerton of Vancouver, Washington; grandchildren Jonathan and Jason Edgerton of Vancouver, Washington and Tevet (Chasity) Bruhn, Jr of Cameron, North Carolina; brothers Bernard and Herbert (Rose) Ching and sister-in-law Rose C. Ching and many, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband James Yee; son Michael Yee; brothers T.F., Chow, Clarence T.C., Clifford, Gilbert, and Leonard Ching; sisters Mae Tam and Mildred Koyama. Visitation: 10-11am and Services: 11am-12noon on Saturday, October 6 at Borthwick Mortuary, Downtown. Burial to follow: 1pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
