Dr. Alan K. Luning, 83, of Kailua, a retired physician and anArmy veteran, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Jeanette M., sons Michael "Mike" and Henry "Hank," daughters Valerie Lynn "Happy" Luning Akau and Vida Cavaco, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Oct. 16 at Mid Pacific Country Club. Services: 11 a.m.
