Harold Shunichi Sugiyama, 97, of Honolulu, a retired house painter and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion during World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by daughters Lorraine Murphy, Caroline Wilson and Gayle Matsuda; brothers Toshi and Shigeo; sister Ethel; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Private services.
