Romayne Karl
ROMAYNE KARL Romayne Karl, born on July 9, 1928 in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 18, 2012 at the age of 84 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Karl, and daughter Therese. She is survived by her beloved children Connie Robinson, Margie Howes, Andrew Karl, Daniel Karl, sister Connie Rutter and Therese Dunn her brother David Rutter, her grandchildren; Karen, Cindy, Patrick, James, Brian, John, Kelley, David and Heather, great-grandchildren Abby, Tabby and Lyla, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Romayne Karl was a member of the League of Women Voters and Democratic Party. Romayne Karl was a past President of League of Women Voters in Texas and moderator of a League of Women Voters TV Program. Her involvement in the League of Women Voters included other locations, including Hawaii and California. Romayne ran the Jimmy Carter Presidential campaign in Ft. Worth, Texas. Romayne initiated the Molokai Mule Drag to benefit college Scholarships. Romayne's interests included supporting public Libraries in Honolulu, Molokai, and Los Angeles. Romayne's recent Interest was buying and selling rare antique books. Romayne Karl was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the League of Women Voters or the San Antonio Public Library.
