Vera Kathryn “Kay†Akana, 89, of Pearl City, a homemaker, died. She was born in Linn County, Kan. She is survived by son Randall, daughter Paula Akana Guanzon, brothers Frank and James Miller, sister Evelyn Sherman, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nuuanu Memorial Park.
