HELEN LAHELA STONE
HELEN LAHELA STONE Helen Lahela Stone, "Tutu", passed away on March 4, 2013 in Kailua Hospice Care Home. She was born on January 10, 1923 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a retired bartender and a child care provider. She is survived by aunt, Helen "Aunty Lady" Solomon Kamana; sister, Anita Denning; brother, Earl Kalani Simerson; children, Joseph Raymond K. Lui (Agnes), Henry C. Lui (Sharon), Violet Lui-Frank (David), Isaac S. Lui (Suzanne), Adam P. Lui (Anna), Allan Lui (partner, Kehau). Also survived by Dawn Lui, mother of three of her grandchildren; 16 grand- children; 21 great-grand- children; and 3 great-great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces, especially Kevin Denning (Keko); hanai grand- sons, Jacob and Luke Tobias; beloved friends Leland Tobias (Tracy), Gary Moore (Dale), and the families in the Keaniani Street Lane. Her wishes were to be cremated; Services to be held in the Chapel at Oahu Cemetery, Nuuanu on March 22, 2013 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aloha Attire. Her ashes will be scattered on March 23, 2013 at Kailua Beach (Lanikai Boat Ramp) at 10 a.m.
