James Keheakamana‘ookaleookalani Beckley
March 9, 2013 James Keheakamana‘ookaleookalani Beckley, 74, of Hilo, an American Hawaii Cruises teacher and storyteller, and an Abigail Kekaulike Kawananakoa Foundation resource for hula, Hawaiian language and kupuna programs, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was also an Army National Guard veteran. He was born in Maunaala, the Royal Mausoleum, Nuuanu. He is survived by wife Theresa K., five stepchildren, sister Frances Ohelo and 24 grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hilo Stake Center, 1373 Kilauea Ave. Services: 11:30 a.m. Additional visitations: 6 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. April 2 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Services: 7:30 p.m. Monday and 10:30 a.m. April 2. Burial: noon at Valley of the Temples. Aloha attire. Incorrect information in an obituary published Sunday.
