July 22, 1922 - April 11, 2013 Howard Leonard Guerrero of Kapahulu, Oahu is flying with the angels and joined our heavenly father on April 11, 2013 while at St. Francis Hospice. Howard was born in Lualualei, Oahu July 22, 1922 to Samuel P. and Lena Guerrero. As a toddler the family moved to Kapahulu where he resided until his passing. A 1942 graduate of St. Louis High School who played on the championship football team his senior year. Football was a favorite sport and Howard played for the Hawaiian Warriors, a pro team in Hawaii during that time. Howard also was a referee and lines judge for the ILH Football league at the old Honolulu stadium. Howard retired from Pearl Harbor Shipyard, Shop 51. He joined his Dad Sam at Guerrero Electric Company and operated the company many years. Guerrero Electric Company was the electrical contractor for the former United Airlines Hawaiian Open Golf Tournament at Waialae Country Club. Howard thoroughly enjoyed this special time in his life, as he was a passionate golfer. Howard, Daddy, Grandpa has touched the hearts of many with his unconditional love, laughter, words of wisdom and his enduring spirit. His children and grandchildren were his life's work and joy. Howard Guerrero is survived by his wife Grayce, children: Sons, Lloyd, Myron (Tamiko), step son Aldan Wong; and daughters from Fountain Valley, California, Penny Mae Takahashi (Ron), and Cheri Ann Guerrero, daughter in law Mitsuko along with 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; Sisters Kanoe Souza (Sammy) Margery Kekauoha (Phillip) and Haunani Ching (Billy) as well as numerous nephews and nieces. His Son Howard Jr. welcomed him to Heaven. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Services at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow. Aloha Attire.
