Carey Nobuo Akamine, 63, of Waimanalo, an environmental and safety assistant at Pearl Harbor and a Navy veteran, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by brothers Glenn and Craig, and sisters Rosemary Akamine and Teri-Ann Hemmingson. Visitation: 10 a.m. Thursday at Nuuanu Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Inurnment: 2 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. No flowers.
