78Kenneth Konishi, 79, of Wailua Houselots, Kauai, a retired U.S. Geological Survey hydraulic engineer technician, died in Garden Isle Health Care. He was born in Eleele, Kauai. He is survived by wife Mabel; son Keith; daughter Melanie Furugen; sisters Ann Matsuoka, Yaeko Ito and Edith Kojiri; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. May 25 at All Saints Episcopal Church, Kapaa. Services: 4 p.m.
