William M. "Gabe" Gabriel Sr., 89, of Mountain View, Hawaii, retired Hickam Air Force Base aircraft mechanic and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Paauilo, Hawaii. He is survived by sons John A., William M. Jr., Stephen J. and Daniel; daughter Serena Botelho; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Sunday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
