FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Hugo S.H. Seto
HUGO S. H. SETO As the prisms of light reflect a rainbow of colors, we are embraced by the unconditional love of Hugo. At the moment he came into our world, his intelligence, inner strength, and genuine caring shone through the twinkle of his eyes. Hugo's inquisitive nature, and practical base continued to develop throughout his early life. He operated from the heart as friends and family shared his adventures. His integrity and fairness guided his leadership at home, work and as a community volunteer. Hugo was a proud husband, father, grandfather and mentor. He believed that a "seedling" needed a secure, loving environment along with endless amounts of nourishment to cultivate strong roots. A symbiotic relationship with one's environment creates the respect and trust to be a contributing member of the community. Hugo joyfully supported each individual without judgment or prejudice, allowing each to discover his or her "joie de vivre". Many shared in his escapades, travels, golf, and culinary indulgences. Like a tree with strong roots, and copious foliage, he easily adapted and enjoyed his "World" adventures. Although never one to focus on accomplishments, Hugo's humble, open mind and innovative spirit placed him at the forefront of international business. Hugo means "bright in mind and spirit". He discovered and lived his truth and passed on peacefully. We will be forever grateful as he continues to shine upon us. Hugo is survived by his wife of 59 years: Phyllis, daughter: Susan, son-in-law: Tim, grandchildren: Elliott, Erica and Hugh, brothers: Chauncey (Akiko), Dudley, Dexter (Marjorie), and Anthony. Private burial at Diamond Head Memorial Park followed by A Celebration of Life: 4:30pm, Tuesday, May 21st at Wai'alae Country Club.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
