Yasushi Sugahara, 87, of Hilo, a retired fisherman, died. He was born in Paauilo, Hawaii. He is survived by daughters Sharon Shimaoka and Leomi Bergknut, and Charlene, Leona and Melanie Sugahara; sisters Harue Okada, Minako Hefty and Yaeko Kitajima; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
