Robert Gilmore, also known as "Kau‘i" and "Bob," 69, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a Kalaheo Elementary School teacher and former Hawaii State Teachers Association president, died at home. He was born in Lahaina. He is survived by mother Florence W. Yoshino, brother Hamlin and sister Luana Kama. Visitation: 5 p.m. Thursday at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Celebration of life: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
