EDISON KAPIOHU KEOMAKAEDISON KAPIOHU KEOMAKA, 82 Edison Kapiohu Keomaka passed away on November 25, 2013 at his home in Kailua. He was born in Waipio, Hawaii. He began his career with Associated Steel. From 1979-1985 he was the Training Coordinator for the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Program. He then served as Financial Secretary/Business Manager for Ironworkers Local 625 until 1988. From 1989- 2012 he was Director of Training for the Hawaii Masons & Plasterers Training Trust and served as Trustee for the Annuity, Health & Welfare, Pension & Vacation/Holiday Trust Funds. Edison pledged much of his time and devotion to many community activities including the Oahu Private Industry Council, Hawaii Construction Industry Assn, and Dept of Hawaiian Home Lands. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; daughter, Alda Keomaka; grandsons, Arin and Kevin Hinaga; brothers, Joseph Keomaka, Clyde Agres, John Chu Hing, Edward Pascua; and sister, Paulette Kato. A memorial service will be held at Oahu Cemetery Chapel, 2162 Nuuanu Ave on Thursday, December 19. Visitation from 10 am, service to begin at 11 am. Aloha attire is requested.
