CLARICE AKIKO YOKOTACLARICE AKIKO YOKOTA Clarice Akiko Yokota was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on November 17, 1928 to Takaichi and Haruno Okimoto. She was the third of six children. She attended Kaimuki High School. She married George Nakashima in 1951. They were blessed with two sons, Clyde in 1952 and Steven in 1954. Sadly George passed away in 1955. But as life would have it, Clarice had a second opportunity at love when she met Ernest Yokota. They married in 1959, and their daughter, Lori, arrived in 1961. Clarice spent her days as the Office Manager at Waialae Bowl. This was the perfect occupation for her as one of her passions was bowling. She bowled in multiple leagues such as the Friday Morning League, 22nd Avenue League, and later the Senior Citizens League. She was bowling at Shafter until early 2013. After a valiant fight, Clarice passed away on November 27, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ernest Yokota (Waipahu); her children, Clyde Nakashima (Merian), Steven Nakashima (Sheree), and Lori Sato (Roy). She is also survived by her sisters, Alice Higa (Edward), Lily Murakami (Milton), and Betty Mukai (Douglas). Clarice was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Sunday, December 22nd at Hosoi Mortuary. Service to follow at 4 p.m.
