INGE CORA RIETZINGE CORA RIETZ 80, passed away November 18, 2013 peacefully at home. She was born April 22, 1933 near Dresden, Germany. She is survived by her husband, Henry T. Morisada, sons Wolfgang (Marjorie) and Henry (Sarah White), and five grandchildren, Christina Stein (Nate), Stacy and Matthew Rietz, and Maile and Katherine Leathem-Rietz. She was preceded in death by a son, D. Wolfgang Rietz of Germany. Orphaned as a child, she survived the Nazis and the bombing of Dresden. She escaped from East Germany and finally immigrated to the United States. She has lived in Hawaii since 1963. She worked many jobs in the restaurant industry, including Coco's, the Blue Hawaii, and the Waialae Country Club. For many years, she was the health aide at Washington Intermediate School. She enjoyed cooking, good food, and spending time with friends and loved ones. She was a talented artist who enjoyed crafts such as knitting, crochet, jewelry making, and eggery. A celebration of life will take place at Nu'uanu Congregational Church on Saturday, January 4 at 11:00 am. Aloha attire and please no flowers or gifts. She practiced random acts of kindness and "paying it forward" before they were a popular thing to do. Please honor her memory by doing an act of kindness or charity on her behalf.
