Edward J. McGarvey, 91, of Kapolei, a retired Army first sergeant and retired warehouseman for the Fleet Submarine Training Center at Ford Island, died in Kapolei. He was born in Oakland, Calif. He is survived by sons Miki E. and Ken; daughter Yumi Neefe; sisters Marjorie Smith, Ila May Dein and Kay Winn; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mililani Memorial Park. Casual attire. No flowers. Donations suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517. Topeka, KS 66675.
