DR. WILLIAM AUSTIN BROADBENT
DR. WILLIAM AUSTIN BROADBENT Dr. William Austin Broadbent of Kaneohe passed away July 23, 2014 at the age of 73. He was born in Philadelphia, Penn., the eldest of 4 siblings. William was known by family, friends, and colleagues as an intellectual with a penchant for adventure and an awesome sense of humor. William was a professor of both political science and education. He worked for Mesa College in San Diego, Oregon College of Education, Leeward Community College, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Chaminade University, and performed extensive consulting work in the Pacific Region. William is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn, sons Dr. Bryan Broadbent and Bradley Broadbent, 6 grandchildren (Harrison, Andrew, Emma, Jack, Nicholas, and Charley), and his brother, Robert, who also lives in Kaneohe. The family celebrated his life privately.
