CARRIE MICHI HATTA Sept. 27, 1963 - July 25, 2014 Beloved sister, shining star, gifted dancer and gymnast, compassionate caregiver to elders, loyal friend. She inspired many with her determination and courage, having survived a serious illness in her youth. Daughter of the late Rev. Kenyei Hatta, past resident minister, Moiliili Hongwanji Mission, and the late Jane Yoko Matano Hatta, she is survived by sisters Julie Yumi Hatta (husband Francis Wong, niece Megumi, nephew Kenjo ) and Tracy Mari Hatta, and half-sisters Eri, Chika, and Yuki Hatta. Predeceased by sister, Lori Kayo Hatta, filmmaker. Funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Moiliili Hongwanji, 902 University Ave.
