ROBERT (BOB) ALEXANDER MYHRE Age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28th at his home in Honolulu and is now in Heaven with his Creator. Robert was born on November 2, 1921 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Arthur Halfdan Myhre and Ethelyn MacPhail. He was Vice President and a civil engineer for First Insurance Co of Hawaii for over 38 years. Even after retirement, Robert continued consulting for the insurance industry. Robert attended Roosevelt High School (class '39) in Hawaii and graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering. Robert kept active all of his live. He loved spending time with and traveling around the island with family, wither they be his son and daughter, or grandkids. He also kept busy compiling photo albums of his world travels. He made numerous trips to Russia, Europe, China and other countries. Spending time researching the background and location of the photos he took, he printed volumes on his world excursions. Robert also enjoyed archeology. Robert is survived by his 2 children, Elizabeth Myhre of Puyallup, Washington, Douglas Myhre with his wife Sandra Myhre of St Petersburg, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Nathan and Sarah, 2 great grandchildren Nichole and Ezekiel, and his sister Anne Brown. No funeral is planned. Robert was cremated at the Moanalua Mortuary. The immediate family held a private memorial service.
