DAVID DEVLIN FITZGERALD David Devlin FitzGerald, 57, of Honolulu, passed away August 13, 2014. He was born in Rhode Island August 15, 1956 and is survived by his wife Jan, daughters Jessica and Kira, brothers Friar and Paul, and sisters Eileen and Lisa. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday August 23 at Unity Church of Hawaii (Diamond Head), reception to follow. All who knew him are invited. Casual attire. A retired longtime member of the Carpenters Union, Dave had just finished writing his trilogy, Blue Dolphin Rescue, the first book of which has been published with the other two soon to follow. He was an avid surfer and soccer player. A man of many talents he enjoyed photography, sculpture, gardening and flowers, and was a musician/composer as well. He talked to everyone, and was described by those who knew him as "a sweet, sweet man". He will be sorely missed.
