Takashi "Taka" Shinoda, 87, of Hilo, a U.S. Postal Service retiree and a veteran of the Air Force and the Army, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Leinani C., sons Jason and Paul, daughter Lei, sister Shiho Nunes and three grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
