GEORGE ABRAHAM KAUHINI Age 72, was born in Honolulu on Dec. 13, 1941. He passed away peacefully on August 10, 2014 in Sacramento, California. He is survived by his wife and companion of 27 years, Marianne; his daughters, Charmaine and Cecille; his grandson, Jason; his sisters, Nancy and Marie; his brother, Arthur; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. George grew up in a large family in a beautiful home in Kapahulu and was 10th of 16 children. He graduated from Kaimuki High School in 1958. He lived in many places on the mainland, but no place was ever as good as home. His love for the Hawaiian culture, the language, the music, and the people, made Hawaii home in his heart. George loved to "talk stories" to anyone who would listen. The last decade of his life was dedicated to loving and caring for his wife, Marianne. He also cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandson Jason. A gathering to celebrate George's life will be held on August 30, 2014 at his childhood home.
