RICHARD "RICK" JAMES BURR
8-29 RICHARD BURRRICHARD RICK JAMES BURR Rick Burr was born November 22, 1965, in St. Louis, MO, and passed on August 21, 2014, at the age of 48. Rick grew up in St. Louis, MO, graduated from Lindbergh High School and then attended the University of Tulsa where he obtained a BA in history and a MS degree in sports administration. He met the love of his life, Frances Huneke, through friends and they were married in Taos, New Mexico in 2005. Rick worked for the Boy Scouts of America in the Indian Nations Council, Tulsa, OK; Crater Lake Council in Medford, OR; and Aloha Council in Honolulu, HI. His most recent position was the Director of Development at the University of Tulsa, College of Law. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Frances H. Burr; his son, Grayson (age 6); his father, Richard H. Burr, Jr.; his sisters, Julia A. Burr and Amy B. Richards (Curt); and beloved nieces and nephews. His mother, Marian L. Burr, predeceased him. Rick was active in the community and enjoyed being involved with various charitable organizations. He loved playing soccer, camping, cooking, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for his son's education to the Rick Burr Memorial Fund, Bank of Oklahoma, Attn. Management, 2021 S.
